SBE ™ is a solvent based epoxy. It is used as a primer and top coat over many different substrates. The main purpose of using this epoxy coating is as a primer. This is to really seal of the pores of the surface. It penetrates deeply into the pores creating an unbelievable mechanical bond.

 

SBE ™ solvent based epoxy is used as an epoxy primer under many types of coatings such as other epoxies like flexible and 100% solids, urethanes and polyaspartic coatings.

 

It is compatible with many different coatings. With this product being solvent based epoxy; it does really make the surface color pop. If this is used as a concrete floor coating for hard-troweled or acid stained concrete, it will darken and wet out the color. The same thing will happen when you apply this epoxy coating to hardwood flooring. It will bring out the color and grain of the wood.

 

SBE ™ has been applied to VCT flooring, ceramic tile, truck beds, walls, even furniture. The possibilities are endless with this product. It has a two hour pot life with no induction time. There is plenty of time to work with SBE ™ solvent based epoxy. Warmer or colder temperatures will cause that pot life to change slightly. Working time on the surface is about 20 minutes.

 

This product is simply applied with a roller or brush just like rolling latex paint. Work it into the pores for a sealed surface. It may be top coated with another coat of SBE ™ or any other suitable top coat such as urethanes, epoxies or polyaspartic coatings. Because this solvent based epoxy coating dries so fast there is less down time on projects. When things get done faster it means more profit for you.
